Yes, we can order screening tests for HIV and STIs/STDs. However, since they may involve blood draws or a swab of a particular area, you’ll need to go to your nearest lab or healthcare facility for the actual test.
While we are able to order labs for HIV screening, we are unable to prescribe pre-exposure prophylaxis (PreP) or treatment for this condition. If your screening results are positive, our clinic can provide resources and support to ensure you are on the right path to getting the appropriate care you need.
An STI screening includes a series of tests that doctors use to find out if a person has infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhea or syphilis that are transmitted through sexual activity. Since some of these infections may not cause symptoms, people can have (and spread) them without knowing it; that’s why screening is an important proactive measure among sexually active individuals.
Please note: Patients in Nebraska will need to complete a patient consent form prior to getting tested, due to state law.
